Music

I have been making and recording music since 1970, when I arrived in Santa Cruz from South Africa and was invited by “Mad Max” Hartstein to join the 25th Century Ensemble.

I will be posting some of my recordings here shortly. Meanwhile, here are a couple of my CD covers.

ALIEN SAFARI (the “Miles Davis Project.”) Recorded in the year 2000, we posed the question: If Miles were alive and recording today, what would he be doing?

I created the funky dance rhythm tracks in The Pod, my tiny eight-sided sacred-geometry studio in the woods in the Hamptons, using sampling and looping software from IKmultimedia and Propellerhead Reason. The project features New York jazz bandleaders Wayne Sabella (keyboards), Danny Marx (Guitar) and Paul Kendall (flutes and reeds.) My dream band! I am finally completing the project in Aspen, Colorado, this winter! Expect a cool dance/jazz CD  this summer!
